The Proto workshop is a digital learning environment for prototype production as well as being expert in numerically controlled methods of working materials. NC and rapid prototype techniques as well as laser cutting are available.
The Proto workshop enables the production chain from digital design to finished product. The main working methods are:
- 2.5 - 5 axis machining. The materials worked are wood, wood composites, various plastics and the materials used in prototype construction.
- Rapid prototype production using FDM and Polyjet technology.
- Laser cutting and engraving which can be used to work plastics, wood, fabric and cardboard.
In addition a low pressure casting machine, a small metal foundry and a paint shop are available.
