The weaving workshop is a learning, creation and research environment for the structures of woven textiles.
It is possible to create fabrics in the workshop using weaving techniques by developing and investigating the impact of materials and colour on the structure of the textile. Learning progresses in stages from theory towards industrial design and manufacturing methods such as jacquard technology. Throughout the learning process, Jacquard weaving machines, hand looms and tufting equipment are the tools used by the students in their studies, ideation and experimental work. In the weaving workshop students can focus either on industrial interior textiles or clothing, or on the design and production of artistic works.
