Departments
The School of Arts, Design and Architecture offers education in five departments, which provide five distinctive perspectives into the fields of art, architecture and design. The departments work closely yet transparently with each other, as well as with other schools at Aalto University.
 Department of Media
The Department brings together Photography, Graphic Design and Media Lab Helsinki which is specialized in the teaching and study of new media. |
 Department of Film, Television and Scenography
The department provides students with the professional tools and artistic competence to fulfil their own expressions and visions. |
 Department of Design
The Department’s degree programmes prepare students for working as experts in design leadership, designers working for industry, commerce, cultural institutions or the media, entrepreneurs or researchers. |
 Department of Architecture
The Department of Architecture at the Aalto University, is the oldest and largest of the three schools of architecture in Finland. The Department of Architecture has degree programmes in architecture and landscape architecture. |
 Department of Art
The Department comprises degree programmes in Art Education, as well as Master’s degree programmes in Fine Art and Environmental Art. The Department of Art and Media Pori was merged to the Department of Art at the beginning of 2012. |
