Pallas Athene and Ilmari Tapiovaara awards

The School of Art and Design founded two new awards in 2001, named after Pallas Athene and Ilmari Tapiovaara. At the discretion of the School, the awards can be awarded bi-annually at the School's annual gala.

Pallas Athene Award

The School of Art and Design awards the Pallas Athene Award every two years in acknowledgement of major work that has been undertaken to promote aesthetic values.

llmari Tapiovaara Award

The award is granted every two years in acknowledgement of particularly valuable creative work that has been undertaken to benefit people's local environments and industrial product development culture.
